While America is “talking turkey” in preparation for Thanksgiving tomorrow, UNIEA is looking ahead to the day after — Black Friday — and a huge Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale at uniea.com that we think is going to top all of the other case companies out there.

From Thanksgiving Day until midnight on Cyber Monday, shoppers can get 40% off their entire order at uniea.com, plus $5.95 flat rate shipping worldwide!

The promo code for the 40% off sale is BLACK40, and the $5.95 flat rate shipping will be automatically applied to all orders.

Even though this promotion is geared toward U.S. Customers because of the Black Friday shopping event, it is open to customers worldwide.

We’ve poked around some of the other case companies, and no one seems to be offering a deal quite like this. It’s specially designed for Christmas shoppers who want to get a great discount on several high quality iPhone/iPad,GS2 cases, stylish laptop bags, or electronics accessories in one stop, without having to hit the stores and brave throngs of other shoppers.

International IT services provider, FDM Group, is launching a new veterans programme, aimed at providing post-service training and employment for the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces.

The esteemed graduate employer has long been working to overcome the catch-22 hurdle of qualifications without experience, that so many University leavers currently face.

Chief Operating Officer of FDM Group, Sheila Flavell, said, “Here at FDM we realise how difficult it is for graduates, especially those seeking to break into the IT sector, to land a paid role without experience. Our aim is to bridge this gap between academia and employment, aiding graduates with valuable skills as well as paid experience.“

The company is renowned for its award-winning graduate programme, which provides graduates with a unique combination of industry centred training and real commercial experience.

Successful applicants to the firm’s graduate scheme are provided with circa 12-16 weeks of technical training before being placed onsite within one or more of FDM’s 200 prestigious clients for a minimum of two years. These include some of the world’s largest financial and banking institutions.

With headquarters in the UK and offices throughout Europe and Asia, FDM opened the doors to its new NYC Training Academy, located in JP Morgan’s former Penthouse on 14 Wall Street, in April of this year.

Within a short space of time, FDM signed a lease to nearly double the size of the office and Academy spaces and looks forward to assisting many more American graduates in their quest to kick-start their IT careers.

In a bid to aid ex-servicemen and women FDM is tailoring its graduate scheme, which has supported over 3,000 graduates to date, by launching a veteran programme across the tri-state area.

The FDM VP of North America, Brandt Rousseaux, said, “As a 20 year veteran of the US Coast Guard I am incredibly pleased to compliment our Academy Programme for undergraduates with an equally important programme for qualified military members who have served the US honourably and many times with great sacrifice. These men and women are bright, committed and eager to start the next chapter of their lives and FDM is keen to help facilitate that transition.”

The firm kicked off its initiative on November 8th at the U.S.S. Intrepid with the “Be A Hero, Hire A Hero” Veterans Career Fair and is committed to welcoming a significant percentage of veteran applicants onto its programme by the end of 2012.

The specially designed scheme aims to provide veterans with the real world training needed to launch an IT career, as well as securing them a placement with one of the major financial institutions in New York.

FDM is also delighted to be sponsoring the “Wall Street Rocks For Veterans” event, which will take place on December 6th at the Irving Center with proceeds going to The Wounded Warrior Project and ReserveAid.

Some of the company’s key clients are among the list of sponsors who are firmly committed to helping those who proudly served the US.

The firm looks forward to working closely with veterans through this programme and is calling for ex-servicemen and women who are interested in launching IT careers to apply to the scheme. Rousseaux added, “It is fitting that the very first FDM Consultant to be placed from our Wall Street office was a former Marine. We are very energised by this new venture and look forward to receiving many applications from these courageous men and women. Our clients are equally excited and have added to the momentum that is inevitable with a programme such as this.”

A survey of recently graduated women working within the field of IT has revealed that female workers may benefit the industry by offering a stronger set of soft skills compared to male employees.

The results of the study, conducted by recruitment site Target Jobs, revealed that 56% of the women questioned felt that female graduates brought additional or different skills to the workplace.

This percentage of women pointed to “a greater attention to detail and a logical approach,” as well as “more developed soft skills” within their list of positive female characteristics.

The UK’s largest IT graduate employer, FDM Group, is firmly dedicated to attracting more women to the sector and strongly supports the notion that the appointment of more female workers could benefit the industry.

FDM Recruitment Manager, Madeleine Field, said, “It is widely recognised that women often bring a different view point and way of thinking to the table within all industries. Not only does this enhance creativity within a team and organisation but it may also offer alternative solutions to problems.”

The “Best Technical Graduate Recruiter” also believes in the importance of attaining optimum communication skills before entering the IT industry and doesn’t allow its graduate trainees to touch a computer for the first week of their training course.

Instead FDM trainees are prepared for their future roles through extensive soft skills training.

The fact that women may naturally possess stronger soft skills reaffirms the value of their contribution to the industry.

FDM Group Trainer, Louise Collis, said, “Although I don’t believe that women are in any way less technical than men, women are often more sociable, approachable and adaptable to various working environments. As IT professionals now have to interact with a variety of people across various departments and organisations, these attributes may give women a certain advantage.”

FDM Group is openly dedicated to recruiting female candidates and held its first Women in IT Advantage Session for female graduates over the summer.

The company also supports its female employees through an internal mentorship programme.

USA — November 16, 2011 — Universal Electronic Accessories (“UNIEA”), a leading designer and manufacturer of innovative electronic accessories, announced today that it will now offer $5.95 flat rate shipping on all orders placed on UNIEA.com. The shipping policy is not a limited promotion, but rather a policy that will remain in place indefinitely.

The new shipping policy covers all worldwide orders placed on UNIEA.com, with no order minimums: customers can order as many UNIEA products as they want and pay just $5.95 in shipping. Shipping and processing times will take anywhere between 7 and 10 business days, depending on the shipping destination.

UNIEA’s new $5.95 flat rate shipping policy comes just in time for the Christmas holiday shopping season, where many shoppers will turn to ecommerce for making Christmas gift purchase, looking for great deals and avoiding the shopping crowds. According to E-Commerce Times, “Three out of four holiday shoppers said they plan to shop for holiday gifts online, and 75 percent said they are likely to purchase gifts online from small businesses. Nearly a third of holiday shoppers said that they would do half or more of their holiday shopping online, and nearly two thirds said online specialty, “niche,” or boutique retailers are one of the “best places” to shop for unusual or hard-to-find gifts.”

As a result, UNIEA’s new flat rate shipping will allow Christmas shoppers to stock up on multiple UNIEA cases, bags, and electronics accessories for one low shipping rate.

UNIEA will also be unveiling a deep Black Friday discount early next that, when combined with $5.95 flat rate shipping, will offer online shoppers one of the best deals in consumer electronics accessories this holiday season.

The UK’s largest IT graduate employer and international IT services provider, FDM Group, has just announced a surge in the number of bilingual job vacancies it has available and firmly believes in the benefits of taking on these roles.

FDM is currently calling for English speaking graduates with a technical background and a second language of French, Cantonese, Mandarin, German or Polish to apply for the various job roles it has available.

The ‘Best Technical Graduate Recruiter’ of 2010 strongly supports the belief that bilingual opportunities can offer graduates the chance to gain the experience that will provide them with a competitive edge over other university leavers.

FDM Group Recruitment Manager, Madeleine Field, said, “Due to the need to associate ideas and objects with a set of words from two or more languages simultaneously, bilingual and multilingual workers often develop a flexible and creative way of thinking. This is an attractive quality for employers and candidates who have taken on these roles will often be favoured over monolingual jobseekers.”

FDM Group is seeking to alert graduates to the fact that bilingual work does not only centre around translating, interpreting and teaching.

Madeleine Field went on to say, “Graduates are often deterred from bilingual roles because they don’t want to go into the fields associated with these particular positions. However at FDM we feel it’s important to let bilingual graduates know that we can offer them the chance to work within the field of IT, finance and sales.”

The company is currently recruiting Cantonese and Mandarin speaking graduates to work within the thriving city state of Hong Kong as well as Singapore, within IT and sales.

A number of French speaking IT graduates will also have the opportunity to work in Luxembourg and across Europe for one or more of the firm’s prestigious clients, including financial and software firms.

Applicants to the firm’s Frankfurt Academy must speak fluent English and German and often have the opportunity to work in the UK as well as other European countries including Switzerland.

As part of its latest effort to support bilingual graduates, the firmly established employer has also extended its recruitment drive to Poland and is offering native graduates the opportunity to work both in their home country as well as the UK and Germany.

Not only will these roles allow chosen candidates to develop their bilingual skills, but working abroad could also provide graduates with a distinct advantage by building on their sense of independence, communication skills and ability to adapt to new environments.

The UK’s largest IT graduate employer, FDM Group, is extending both its recruitment drive and service area to Poland due to the Eastern European country’s thriving IT market and high graduate unemployment rate.

The ‘Best Technical Graduate Recruiter’ of 2010 recently attended the Warsaw University of Technology Fair and was impressed with the quality of graduates present, as well as the country’s thriving IT industry.

According to the latest data gathered by European market information company PMR, the value of the IT market in Poland increased by 5.8% in 2010.

The company’s 2011 report also predicted a double-digit growth of more than 10% this year and found that “the global financial crisis had a limited impact on the Polish economy and was not a shake-up for the Polish IT market”.

These positive results and predictions coupled with the rising trend of the “nearshoring” of IT services from the UK to Eastern Europe has prompted FDM Group to explore the new territory.

FDM Group CEO, Rod Flavell, said “As a market that has successfully withstood the economic downturn and begun to show impressive signs of positive growth, the Polish IT industry promises a wealth of possibilities for us as an international IT services provider.”

As a company that has aided 3,000 graduates in their quest to bridge the gap between university and employment, FDM Group is also seeking to extend its support to Polish graduates.

Due to the high influx of fresh graduates into the country’s poor labour market, graduate unemployment remains exceptionally high in Poland.

Graduates from some of the country’s finest universities even struggle to find appropriate full time work, particularly within the finance and banking sectors.

FDM Group is renowned for its award-winning graduate scheme which offers individuals the ability to kick-start their IT careers by supplying a unique combination of industry centred training and real commercial experience.

Importantly the vast majority of the firm’s portfolio of 200 prestigious clients lies within the financial sector and FDM IT Consultants are regularly placed within world famous corporations such as UBS, HSBC, Credit Suisse, RBS, Barclays and Deutsche Bank.

FDM Recruitment Manager, Madeleine Field, said, “There are clearly some very talented and qualified graduates in Poland who deserve the opportunity to work within the thriving IT industry as well as the financial sector. Unfortunately due to the state of the country’s job market, Polish graduates are just not gaining access to these roles. Our aim is to eventually support these graduates by offering them a route into these industries within Poland, as well as opening up doors for them in the UK and Germany.”

Heralded as one of the biggest albums in rock history, Achtung Baby is widely regarded as a sonic and visual reinvention of the band. Recorded at Hansa Studio in Berlin and Windmill Lane in Dublin, Achtung Baby was U2’s seventh studio album and peaked at No.2 on the US album charts and at No.1 on the UK album chart. The album includes massive hits “Mysterious Ways,” “One,” “Even Better Than The Real Thing” and “Who’s Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses.” The certified multi-platinum album was produced by Daniel Lanois and Brian Eno, who won the Grammy® Award for Producers of the Year for Achtung Baby. This historic album would go on to be one of the most significant records of the nineties and of U2’s career. This 20th anniversary deluxe two CD set, presented here as a high resolution download, features the original album plus an additional fourteen tracks including b-sides and remixes. Achtung Baby won the Grammy® award for Best Rock Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group. Click Here For Achtung Baby.

Fleetwood Mac’s multi-platinum selling masterpiece Rumours features the timeless classics “You Can Go Your Own Way,” “Don’t Stop,” “You Make Loving Fun” and “Dreams.” With over 40 million albums sold, this ground-breaking masterpiece spent 31 consecutive weeks on top of the Billboard charts and won the Grammy® for Album of the Year in 1977. Produced by band member Lindsey Buckingham, the album includes Fleetwood Mac’s classic line-up of Buckingham, Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Christine McVie and Stevie Nicks. Fueled by raw emotion and melodic arrangements, the album is an intimate glimpse into the group’s personal turmoil. Released in 1977, Rumours has transformed into one of the greatest pop albums of all time. This ground-breaking album can now be experienced as a hi-res download.
