Newly certified room controllers by Siemens
Zug/Switzerland - The Siemens Synco RXB individual room controllers are now certified for compliance with European standards. This confirms their high energy efficiency in controlling room comfort: energy savings of up to 14% can be achieved.
The Synco building automation system is firmly established on the market for automatic control of HVAC installations in small to medium-sized, mixed-use buildings. Considerable potential for energy savings can be realized in buildings of this size in particular. Certified products enable planning engineers to differentiate between the diverse offerings of controllers on the basis of control quality, so that they can make the appropriate choice for adjusting building automation to achieve optimum energy consumption. Certification is performed by eu.bac, the European industrial association for building automation, in accordance with its testing and certification program. The decisive criterion for issuing the certificate for room controllers is high control quality, i.e. minimal deviation of the actual room temperature from the desired temperature selected by the user. Studies by the Centre Scientifique et Technique du Bâtiment (CSTB) in France have shown that energy savings of up to 14% compared with the standard can be achieved by using high-quality individual room controllers with a control quality of 0.1K.
eu.bac (European Building Automation and Controls Association) is the European association of building automation manufacturers formed on the initiative of Siemens in 2003. eu.bac Cert is a joint venture of eu.bac and various European certification bodies and testing laboratories in conformity with the relevant provisions of the EN 45000 series of standards.
