BroVis Wireless Networks announces the launch of MAXCell Solution
BroVis Wireless Networks, a global developer and manufacturer of Next Generation Broadband Wireless Access Systems announced today the launch of MAXCell solution, industry’s first Wave2 compliant WiMAX range of wireless systems aimed at Telcos, Competitive Service Providers and Internet Service Providers. As part of its MAXCell solution, BroVis introduced AC160 series IEEE 802.16e WiMAX CPE and WiFi/WiMAX gateway systems (subscriber side) which will be made available in the first half of 2008. BroVis will also launch its AS1600 series WiMAX PICO cell and FEMTO cell base station systems and BroView Controller as part of its MAXCell solution during the second half of 2008.
BroVis Wireless Networks offers a suite of IEEE 802.16e standards based WiMAX Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) systems and is one of the first to launch Wave2 profile CPE systems. BroVis’ Wi-MAX products feature rich hardware and software delivering carrier class functionality and economic service propositions for fixed/nomadic/portable and mobile broadband services. BroVis delivers comprehensive end-to-end solution through standards compliant, interoperable WiMAX range of products. BroVis’ strategy ensures WiMAX/WiFi coexistence to provide seamless high-speed broadband experience for end users. BroVis’ WiMAX products provide higher spectral efficiency through the use of advanced antenna technology such as MIMO and granular channel spacing.
“Our innovative and cost effective WiMAX 16e solution along with our current WiFi solutions will complement our effort in offering cost-effective solutions aimed at bridging the digital divide. With this breakthrough solution, we hope to provide the much needed converged services for the masses globally” says Muthu S Logan, Founder and CEO of Brovis Wireless Networks.
BroVis’ current WiMAX offerings include both outdoor and indoor CPE systems. The CPE variants include WiFi/WiMAX gateway CPE systems, low cost indoor and outdoor CPE systems. There is an option for voice ports with integrated SIP in the high-end versions.
AC160 offers high performance WiMAX 16e radio system with SOFDMA for true Non-Line-of-Sight and supports TDD technique. The system supports (NLOS) nomadic, mobile and portable operations. As the system is Wave2 profile compliant it ensures smooth and seamless handover even while in mobile. The system is powered by advance antenna technology — MIMO, mobility enabled by OFDMA PHY and MAC as per IEEE 802.16e-2005 standards. Other feature includes adaptive modulation and error correction, Doppler Effect compensation at high speeds and advanced application specific software feature. The current offerings will be in licensed band operation (2.5 GHz, 3.3GHz, and 3.5GHz).
The MAXCell range of WiMAX systems will be interoperable with most of the industry’s popular WiMAX BTS wireless systems. BroVis’ CPE is interoperable with any WiMAX certified IEEE 802.16e standards based BTS providing Telcos and WISPs with compelling solutions.
BroVis’ offerings provide operators with cost effective and future-proof migration path from fixed to mobile WiMAX broadband services. BroVis provides the benefits of multivendor (BTS) interoperability, cost effective CPE solutions, data-service enabled portable handheld device with roaming (indoor and outdoor), thus heralding a new era of inexpensive and ubiquitous broadband wireless access.
